- Normally spreading yellowcress is a lower-elevation plant found growing in mesic ground of the Basin and foothills of the Watershed, but it occasionally it reaches into the montane, for instance around the Wagon Wheel Gap area SE of Creede. Often Rorippa sinuata is found in ruderal habitats such as road and irrigation ditches. BONAP shows a USA distribution that largely excludes states east of the Mississippi. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico but not into Texas.
