- Alpine yellowcress has been commonly collected in the south San Juans but not elsewhere in the Watershed. Despite its name, it can be found in the montane and the subalpine as well as the tundra, preferring moist habitats such as wet meadows and creek sides. This is chiefly a Central and Southern Rockies plant whose range extends, spottily, into Idaho and northeastern Nevada. It has been recorded from Rio Arriba and Taos counties of New Mexico but no farther south.
