- For water cress, there are only a few Watershed locations: an irrigation ditch near San Luis (Costilla Co), Valley View Hot Springs (Saguache Co), along Saguache Creek (Saguache Co), Old Woman's Creek NW of Del Norte (Saguache Co), Weisburt Farms (Conejos Co), Russell Lakes SWA (Saguache CO), near Garcia Springs NW of Saguache (Saguache Co). The habitat is typical for water cress—roadside seeps, hot springs, artesian springs, drainage and irrigation ditches, along creeks. This exotic is present in nearly every state of the USA and follows the Rio Grande drainage a little past the Big Bend country of Texas.
