- Tall whitetop is a Basin exotic, collected along fence lines, road sides, irrigation ditches, alkaline playas, and vacant lots. In the Watershed it is more common than short whitetop (Lepidium draba). It is on Colorado's B list of "noxious weeds." In the USA, its central range is west of the Great Plains. In New Mexico, it follows the Rio Grande drainage to the Mexican border, but observations include only El Paso Co, Texas for the rest of the drainage.
