- In the Watershed, the locations for Draba streptocarpa are in the southern half, on both sides of the valley. The plant is found in meadows and aspen groves in the subalpine, and sheltering by rocks and ledges in the alpine. Sharples (2017) indicates it is uncommon in Conejos Co, above the tree line. Hogan and Elliott (2022) found it "not uncommon" in the North Cristos wilderness area but on the eastern slopes. The USA range is limited to the Southern Rockies of New Mexico, Colorado, and south Wyoming. In Colorado it is fairly common in the Front Range. In New Mexico it follows the Rio Grande drainage only as far as Lincoln Co.
