- Comments
- Locations for this rare Draba are protected, but Wagon Wheel Gap in Mineral Co is one of them (ee Ladyman 2003). Decker, et al. (2021) indicate also the Cristos north of Blanca Peak, a region where the photorecords also come from. Sharples (2017) found D. smithiil at 11,600' in the South San Juan Wilderness, in either Archuleta or Conejos Co. Allred et al. (2020) say one plant was recently discovered along a road in Taos Co, in the Watershed and bordering Conejos Co, in sagebrush and juniper country. Otherwise Drabs smithii would be endemic to Colorado.
