- For Draba crassa there are just five Watershed locations: Stony Pass, Sheep Mt, Mosquito Lake (all in Saguache Co, west side), Conejos Peak (Conejos Co), and a photorecord near Elwood pass (Rio Grande Co). D. crassa is an alpine or subalpine plant usually growing in scree, distinguished by its thick glabrous leaves and decumbent stems. BONAP shows Mineral Co with no vouchers in SEINet. BONAP also shows the plant as rare throughout Colorado, whereas Ackerfield (2015) calls it “common.” It is a Rocky Mountain plant, from the Canadian border down to the Watershed, so that the Vermejo Park Ranch location, on the border of Colorado and New Mexico, marks it farthest southern reach.
