- Often collected in the western mountains of the Watershed, Descurainia incana has alsooccasionally been recorded from the lower slopes of the north Cristos and the Upper Basin in the vicinity of Alamosa and Ft. Garland. This range in elevation is typical of Descurainia incana. It is present in all states west of the Great Plains except for , an follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico nearly to the Mexican border, but no farther.
