- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. In the Watershed rod transberingia has been collected once, by Ron Hartman in 1988, on North Rock Creek, 2.5 miles east of Alder (Saguache Co), an occurrence registered in SEINet under the name "Halimolobos virgata." The species is native to Wyoming and parts of Montana and Idaho, and is present, though uncommon, in the central mountains of Colorado. The plant is not easy to see in the field—slender, with small white flowers, usually buried in other vegetation. The USA distribution is centered in Wyoming, southwest Montana, and southeast Idaho, with outlying pockets in southern California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado.
