- Heartleaf bittercress is one of the most common flowers in the Watershed, usually found by streams, from montane to tundra, in all mountain regions. In the USA, Cardamine cordifolia grows strictly west of the Great Plains. It is present in the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico down to the Mexican border, but follows that drainage no farther.
