Camelina microcarpa is common around Colorado as a naturalized exotic, but so far there are only four recorded locations in the Watershed; Conejos Co, Aspen Glade cpgd on the Conejos River (1956); Saguache Co, Medano Canyon near the Great Sand Dunes (1988); Costilla Co, near San Luis (1999)); Saguache Co, near Luders Creek E of Cochetopa Pass (2021). This Euro-Asian import is sometimes a pest in wheat fields, but there is little evidence of that in the Valley. It is wide spread across northern New Mexico. It has been recorded from all USA states except for Florida.
