- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. From the Watershed there have been only three collections: Alamosa (Alamos Co, 1930), Rattlesnake Hill, 4 miles E of Saguache (Saguache Co, 1999), and Baca NWP (Saguache Co, 2006). No doubt these had all escaped from cultivation. Rapeseed or rutabaga is a minor crop in the Upper Basin, but still grown. Escapes have been observed in all states of the USA except for Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, and Texas. There is a single location in Sierra Co, New Mexico. This and the Watershed observations are the only ones from the Rio Grande drainage.
