Currently in the Watershed there are only two recorded locations for hoary alyssum. One is in or around the town of South Fork (Rio Grande Co), with four observations, from 2013 to 2022, one at a trailhead SW of the town and the others along Hwy 160 within the town limits. The second location is on Zapata Falls road, south of the Great Sand Dunes NPP, 2023 (Alamosa Co), iNaturalist observation #17260778. Berteroa incana is on the Colorado Department of Agriculture's "Watch" list for "noxious weeds" (it may be toxic to farm animals). The northern half of USA states provide the common ground for this exotic; elsewhere it is scattered, reported, for instance, only from Taos, Sandoval, and San Miguel counties of New Mexico (and no farther down the Rio Grande drainage. See ANNOTATED page.
