- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Of hairy rockcress, there are less than eight vouchers from the both sides of the Watershed, recording a variety of habitats, from forest edge to open foothill slopeābut none south of La Veta pass or the Rio Grande. The latest occurrence is from near the Humphrey's Ranch, close to Wagon Wheel Gap northwest of South Fork (Mineral Co, 2013).There are, however, records from the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico, extending halfway down the state. Except for Texas and the Deep South, the plant is found in all states of the USA. Note that the taxon is sometimes referred to as "Arabis hirsuta."
