- In the Watershed, Weber's oreocarya is common but only locally. Oreocarya weberi is found on steep foothill slopes and sometimes road cuts, usually in volcanic substrate. It has been found only on the west side of the Valley. The species is endemic to Colorado, and would be endemic to the Colorado watershed of the Rio Grande except for several locations just to the west of the Continental Divide, for instance at Cochetopa pass.
