- In the Watershed, there are 20 voucher collections of Oreocarya thyrsiflora—all from Saguache Co in the western foothills, for instance the foothill SW of Saguache (iNaturalist observation #31426800, 24 Aug 2019). Exceptions are one 1900 record from Sangre de Cristo Cr (W of Veta Pass, Costilla Co) and one 1990 record from Oak Springs of the North Cristos foothills. The photorecords around Del Norte would add Rio Grande to county records indicated in Ackerfield (2022) and BONAP (2022). The USA distribution is mainly Colorado and Wyoming, including parts of western North and South Dakota and northeast New Mexico. The location farthest down the Rio Grande drainage is Santa Fe Co, New Mexico.
