- Comments
- In the Watershed Fendler's barberry has been collected only from the south San Juans—except, oddly, in the earliest record (1891), from a ranch on the Rio Grande near the New Mexico border in Conejos Co (planted?). In the USA, Berberis fendleri has a distribution confined only to Colorado, New Mexico, and southeast Utah. It intermittently follows the Rio Grande drainage in New Mexico to Doña Ana Co but no farther.
