- Of Arizona mule's-ears there is is only one location from the Watershed supported by voucher, found 3.8 miles E of Osier Peak in Conejos Co. Recent photorecords show Wyethia arizonica from the same general area in Conejos Co, just E of Cumbres pass on a slope above Hwy 17. BONAP shows Mineral Co with no vouchers in SEINet. It seems the species has found its way, albeit in small numbers, across the Divide from the San Juan drainage in Archuleta Co, where it is fairly common. The USA distribution is western Wyoming, southeast Utah, northeast Arizona, and the far northwest corner of New Mexico. The Watershed records may be the only ones from the entire Rio Grande drainage.
