- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Townsendia hookeri the Watershed has three records: Saguache Co, just E of Cochetopa Pass (Saguache Co, 1957); Conejos Co, 2 mi SW of Mogote cpgd (Conejos Co, 1986); South Fork of Conejos River (Conejos Co, 2014). BONAP shows Costilla and Mineral counties, with no vouchers in SEINet. The flower has been collected a number of times from the Cochetopa ash beds just west of Cochetopa pass, but the more prolific population comes from the Front Range. This is primarily a Front Range and Southern Rockies flower, with the USA distribution centered in Wyoming. The Watershed locations mark the southeast corner of the distribution, with no known occurrences in New Mexico.
