NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Gray's townsendia is a rare SW Colorado plant, associated with the Mancos Shale Formation, although fairly frequently collected from Archuleta, La Plata, Mesa, Montezuma, and Mesa counties of Colorado. The one record of Townsendia glabella from the Watershed—Rio Grande Co, Fulcher Gulch just E of Del Norte (Flaig, 2004)—seems unlikely. There is no photograph in SEINet to judge by. The species is a Colorado endemic.
