- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. From the Watershed there are fewer than 10 records of Townsendia eximia, all but one from the Culebras. The isolato comes from Cumbres Pass. Except for the few Colorado locations in Conejos, Costilla, and Las Animas counties (see iNaturalist observation #132706395), this species of Townsendia would be endemic to New Mexico, where it follows the Rio Grande drainage, on both sides of the river, halfway down the state, to Socorro Co.
