- For Thelesperma filifolium there are fewer than 15 Watershed records, usually from pinyon-juniper foothills habitat and sandy soil. Most often the location is from around the Great Sand Dunes (e.g., iNaturalist observation #225432008, 24 July 2024). One location is near San Luis in Costilla Co (1986). There are no records from the west side of the Watershed. The Watershed distribution accords with the USA distribution, which is largely the Front Range, the western Great Plains, and all of Texas. But the species also follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico on down through Texas to the Gulf of Mexico. For more photographs and comment, click "yes" in the Annotation field below.
