- Comments
- For Thelesperma filifolium are nine Watershed records, from foothills in sandy soil and pinyon-juniper habitat, most often from around the Great Sand Dunes. One 1986 location is near San Luis in Costilla Co. There are no records from the west side of the Watershed. That accords with the USA distribution, which is largely the Front Range, the western Great Plains, and all of Texas. But the species also follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico and on down through Texas to the Gulf of Mexico. Note that our variety seems to be T. filifolium var. intermedium.
