- For Symphyotrichum frondosum there are only six locations in the Watershed, all alkali flats by water in the Basin. The determination of a specimen collected 6 miles W of Mogote in Conejos Co (1993, Dixon) might use confirmation. The species is distributed, spottily, around all USA states west of the Great Plains, and the Watershed occurrences (along with a few in New Mexico) fall in the extreme SE corner.
