- NEED IN SITU PHOTOGRAPHS. Ackerfield calls Solidago nana “common” in Colorado, but voucher records suggest otherwise in the Watershed. There are only two locations: a “saddle below Antero Peak” (Sawatch Range, NW of Saguache, 1998), and Humphrey’s Ranch (SW of Creede, La Garitas, 2013). Disagreement in species description may account for some of this discrepancy. In New Mexico collections of the species are confined to Rio Arriba Co, on the border with Colorado, and extremely uncommon there. BONAP, however, shows a much broader distribution in northern New Mexico). These and the Watershed location lie at the southeastern corner of the USA range, which includes Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.
