- Comments
- In the Watershed Missouri goldenrod is a fairly common foothill and montane plant that on both sides of the Valley prefers drier habitat than S. lepida. It has not been recorded from the south Sawatch range, Rio Grande Co, and the Culebras of the Watershed. The only Basin collection came from the Rio Grande floodplain in Alamosa (1992). Solidago missouriensis—extremely variable in its characters—is widespread in the USA except for California, the eastern seaboard and Appalachians, and the Deep South. Observations follow the Rio Grande drainage two-thirds of the way down New Mexico, but not farther down stream.
