- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For giant goldenrod, there are only two Watershed records: "Monte Vista" (Rio Grande Co, 1968), and Forbes Ranch (Costilla Co, 1999). Ackerfield (2015) shows Conejos Co, with no vouchers in SEINet. There are occurrences from counties to the east and west of the Watershed in Colorado, and east of the Rio Grande drainage in northern New Mexico. Solidago gigantea is present in every state of the USA except for those in the Intermountain and far west. BONAP shows it in the Big Bend region and Gulf stretches of the Rio Grande drainage.
