- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Shinnersoseris rostrata there is one Watershed voucher, from the Great Sand Dunes, collected by Harrington in 1965. The plant would be an outlier from its normal northeast Colorado range, but the habitat is right (sandy soil). This is a Plains asterid, found from the Texas panhandle up through North Dakota. Harrington's specimen is the only record in the entire Rio Grande drainage.
