- Dandelion ragwort is found on both sides of the Valley, often in alpine scree, for instance, on Sheep Mountain W of Saguache (1971), or one half a mile W of Platoro near the Continental Divide (2013). It is sometimes mistaken for Senecio soldanella. The USA distribution is limited to the Southern Rockies of Colorado and northern New Mexico (including Taos, Rio Arriba, and Colfax counties).
