Comments
There are relatively few Watershed records of Senecio pudicus, with only one collection south of Del Norte in the south San Juans (Cumbres Pass, 1992, Dixon), and none in the Culebras. It has repeatedly been found along Mosca Creek in the north Sangre de Cristos, most recently by Craig Martin (2023, iNaturalist observation #182390101). Bashful ragwort is usually found on cliffs or rocky slopes in mixed conifer forest. Records are scattered through only three states: Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. As for New Mexico, Allred et al. (2022) say reports of the species from the state are unconfirmed; and SEINet and BONAP do not show any location within the Rio Grande drainage. The Colorado Watershed records, therefore, currently stand as the only observations from the entire drainage.
