- In the Watershed, Picradeniopsis oppositifolia is primarily a Basin plant, although it reaches up into the foothills on both sides of the valley; e.g., near Forbes Ranch, Costilla Co; 6 miles NW of Del Norte, Rio Grande Co. The second location is a photorecord that would add Rio Grande to counties indicated in Ackerfield (2022) and BONAP (2022). The species is distributed primarily in the Rocky Mountains, from the Canadian border to middle New Mexico, extending into parts of the western Great Plains. It follows the Rio Grande drainage no farther than Socorro Co, New Mexico.
