- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Petasites frigidus there is one Watershed voucher, dated 1942, taken from Major Creek on the west slope of the north Cristos, about 9 miles E of Mineral Hot Springs. Ackerfields (2022) also shows Mineral Co, with no SEINet vouchers. Sweet coltsfoot can hardly be missed or misidentified, so occurrences must be rare in the Watershed. This is an aster of the Pacific coast and northern quarter of the USA. Its presence in the Rockies of Colorado and Wyoming stands disjunct from this main distribution. The Watershed records would represent the only occurrences in the entire Rio Grande drainage.
