- Comments
- Herbarium records from the Watershed of mountain tarweed are few, only five, all recent (1984-2016). All are located in the extreme south San Juans, in Conejos and Archuleta counties along Hwy 17 near Cumbres pass and on a little west to the Rio Chama drainage. The photorecord of 2018 is from this same population. Madia glomerata is recorded from all states W of the Great Plains and adventive in a few locales in the northern Great Plains. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage as far as Socorro, New Mexico, but no farther.
