- A Southwest asterid, small desert tansy has been infrequently collected from the Watershed, although it is recorded as early as 1896 ("Alamosa county") and as recently as 2024: Monte Vista NWR and just east of San Luis SWA). So far, locations are restricted to the Upper Basin. Collector Ronald Hartman found Leucosyris parviflora roadside near Alamosa and Moffat (2014). As early as 1931 Frances Ramalay noted that it is associated with greasewood. The Watershed locations are somewhat isolated at the northeastern corner of the USA distribution, which covers only Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and west Texas. Its Rio Grande presence starts again in Torrance Co, New Mexico, and continues down into far west Texas.
