- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Lactuca biennis has one Watershed record, from the floodplain of the Rio Grande In the town of Alamosa (F. E. Cortez, 1991). Ackerfield and BONAP do not accept this record, and find the species in no Watershed county. Note that it has been recorded from Santa Fe and Sandoval counties of New Mexico, in the Rio Grande drainage. Blue wild lettuce is native to the USA and can be found across the northern half of the country, with a very spotty extension down the Central and Southern Rockies of Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
