- In the Watershed orange sneezeweed is common in montane and subalpine meadows, on both sides of Valley, often growing in tall grass. It is a western USA plant that, despite not being recorded from the Culebras, does carry on down on both sides of the Rio Grande into New Mexico. There is continues on down the Rio Grande drainage to the Sacramento Mountains, but no farther than that down the drainage.
