- Comments
- In the Watershed there are less than a dozen records of woolly hawkweed, a species of subalpine forests and meadows. All are from the south San Juans except for one collection near Music pass in the north Christos and one near Whiskey Pass in the Culebras. The species is scattered but fairly common in the meadows around the Continental Divide just north of Wolf Creek Pass (2016-2023). It is present in all USA Western states except for Arizona. In New Mexico it has been recorded from the mountains of Rio Arriba and Taos, but follows the Rio Grande drainage no farther.
