- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Texas blueweed, BONAP shows Hinsdale, Mineral, and Conejos counties, with no vouchers in SEINet. Its presence in the Watershed makes sense. This native sunflower, declared noxious in some states, is recorded from Rio Arriba Co in New Mexico and from there follows the Rio Grande drainage all the way to the Gulf. Its central USA distribution is southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, with scattered and isolated locations else, such as the Columbia River drainage of Washington, and the Mississippi valley of Illinois.
