- Around the Watershed, Parry's little sunflower is common from foothill to upper montane, but there are no collections from the north Cristos and only one from the Culebras (except around the La Veta Pass area). In the USA, Helianthella parryi's distribution is confined to central and south Colorado, New Mexico, southeastern Utah, and (rarely) Arizona. It follows the Rio Grande drainage to Socorro Co, New Mexico, but no farther down stream.
