- Comments
- This small stoloniferous fleabane has been recorded from just a few locations in the Watershed, all in the south San Juans: from the foothills of Conejos Co, and from forest openings in the montane of Rio Grande and Mineral Co. Ackerfield (2020) shows Alamosa Co, with no vouchers in SEINet. The USA distribution is centered in Arizona and New Mexico, with bordering parts of Nevada, Utah, Colorado (including the Front Range), Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage to Val Verde Co of Texas, just east of the Big Bend country. Note this Erigeron tracyi can be mistaken for the very common E. flagellaris, but E. tracyi's stem hairs are appressed. Allred et al. (2020) say E. tracyi lacks rooting plantlets at the end of its stolons, whereas FNA says it sometimes has them.
