- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Needle-leaf erigeron has one Watershed record, near Storm King Mountain, Carnero Guard Station (1941). Verbatim elevation was 10,000’ and Carnero Pass is 10,166’, so it may have been collected near the pass. That, however, would be higher than the elevation range given in FNA, the upper limit being 9,500'. It is not a tundra or subalpine species. In Colorado Erigeron nematophyllus has been recorded from a few counties north of the Watershed (where it is also uncommon), and from southern Wyoming and northeast Utah
