- Erigeron formosissimus is one of the most wide spread of Erigerons around the Watershed, found in all mountain regions and vegetative zones. The only Lower Basin collection is the earliest (1898), although the location on the label, “Antonito,” could refer to the foothills west of the town. The USA distribution centers around Utah, Arizona, and the Central and Southern Rockies. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage down through New Mexico to the border with Texas but no farther.
