- Comments
- Whiplash fleabane is one of the most commonly collected Erigerons in the Watershed—a most accommodating plant in terms of ecosystem. The Del Norte 2020 occurrence was in a residential flowerbed and lawn, where is formed large clonal mats. Its stolons, which distinguishes it (and Erigeron tracyi) in most keys, are not present in young plants, causing difficulties in determination. The center of its USA population is Utah, Arizona, and the Central and Southern Rockies. It follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico to the Big Bend country of Texas.
