- Erigeron coulteri is a common higher-elevation Erigeron around the Watershed, but strangely there are no collections from the south Sawatch range. No doubt the species is present there, since its Colorado distribution extends on up the Sawatch Range into the Arkansas River drainage. The USA distribution is highly disjunct, with one population in eastern California and western Nevada; another in northwest Oregon, central Idaho, and western Montana; and a third in western Colorado and northern New Mexico. It follows the Rio Grande drainage only to Socorro Co, New Mexico.
