- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Erigeron aphanactis has one Watershed record, 1898, “plains about Antonito”—originally identified as E. aphanactis, changed later to E. concinnus, finally re-affirmed as E. aphanactis in 1943. The habitat is right, which is dry salt shrub. If correctly determined, the collection would represent the only location in the Rio Grande drainage, as well as the farthest east of the USA distribution. That range is centered in Nevada and Utah, including parts of of California, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, western New Mexico, and the San Juan River drainage of Colorado. Is this species still present in the Watershed?
