- There are three records of Ericameria discoidea from the Watershed: Elkhorn Peak, elev. 12,022', ca 3 air mi E of Bonanza (Saguache Co, 1999); near top of Methodist Mountain, elev. ± 11,150', east of Alder (Saguache Co, 1999); top of Simmons Peak, elev. 12,050', east of Alder (Saguache Co, 2022, iNaturalist observation 186188457). These locations would represent nearly the farthest east point of the USA distribution. They may be part of a population spilled over from the upper Arkansas River drainage, a population disjunct from the rest of the USA range, which is centered in Nevada and covering contingent parts of surrounding states.
