- Comments
- In the Watershed, fetid marigold often is found in patches that do not seem to spread rapidly (e.g., Ramaley’s 1930 occurrence in Del Norte is still there, but in small, widely scattered colonies). It seems to prefer dry Basin habitats (e.g. the San Luis Hills) but can occur up to 8,800' elevation. In the USA, it is most common in the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains, and is adventive in the Midwest and desert Southwest. It has a solid presence in the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico down to a little past the Big Bend country of Texas.
