- For Cosmos parviflorus there are only nine Watershed locations. Five are in the Upper and Lower Basin (e.g., 1 mile S of Saguache; 1 mile S of Antonito). Four others are along Hwy 17 around Los Mogotes, a population that has been observed from 1967 to 2016. It seems the flower is usually found along roads. Its USA distribution is restricted to Arizona, south-central Colorado, New Mexico, and the Big Bend country of Texas, which marks the termination of its presence in the Rio Grande drainage.
