- For Cirsium ochrocentrum SEINet shows three vouchers: near Terrace Reservoir (Conejos Co, 1981), near Los Mogotes peak (Conejos Co, 1987), and in the Baca NWR (Saguache Co, 2012). Ackerfield (2015) shows Costilla Co, with no SEINet vouchers. The 2013 photorecord from south of La Garita would add a fifth location, from Saguache Co. And a 2020 photorecord from near South Fork would add a sixth, from Rio Grande Co. All these Watershed locations do not show up in BONAP (2022). Yellowspine thistle ranges from the USA Southwest up to the Nebraska plains. It is New Mexico's most common thistle and follows the Rio Grande drainage on down in Texas through the Big Bend country.
