- Comments
- In the Watershed, locations of Vasey's rabbitbrush seem restricted to two areas: Poncha Pass, and the eastern foothills of the South San Juans in Rio Grande and Conejos counties. A recent photorecord adds the western edge of the San Luis Hills, E of Antonito (Conejos Co, 2022). There are no records from the east side of the Valley except a 1942 collection from Rock Creek in the North Cristos, a determination that could use confirmation. The species is primarily a Colorado Plateau and Southern Rockies plant. The Rio Grande drainage continuance into the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico is indicated by records from Taos and Socorro counties.
