For diffuse knapweed in the Watershed, there is one documentation: a plant photographed by Randy Floyd alongside Hwy 160, 4.5 km southwest of South Fork, Rio Grande Co, 21 Aug 2019 (iNaturalist observation #21572795). This exotic has been found along roads in counties bordering the Watershed, including Mineral Co along Hwy 160 just west of the Continental Divide (2002). It is also recorded from northern counties in New Mexico such as Taos and Santa Fe. More occurrences from the Watershed are to be expected. It is widely reported from all Western states, with scattered records across the north Plains and Midwest states. It is on Colorado's B list of "noxious weeds."
